Grenada Real Estate
Dubbed as the Isle of Spice, Grenada is situated southernmost of all the
Windward Islands in the Caribbean. This country is composed of three islands:
Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique. The three islands and their varying
terrain and attractions make Grenada a melting pot of investments in the
Caribbean. Real Estate escapades in this small nation is also bustling with
activity as the three islands offer an ambiance of peace and tranquility coupled
with an air of excitement because of the multitude of adventure sports it offers
like diving, hiking, and boat sailing.
Grenada is generally pictured as a progressing, rocky island nation, blessed
with sweet-smelling spices and endemic tropical flowers. With its periphery of
dazzling beaches and quiescent municipalities, this lush island has long been an
economic center for the production of spices like ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg,
cloves and cocoa. Grenada's capital, St. George's, is infamous for its title of
being the loveliest city in the Caribbean.
Grenada's natural aesthetics goes together with its vivacious, thriving cultural
heritage. Local fairs, fiestas, festivals and markets boost the tourist life of
the country. Its one hundred year-old spice agricultural estates and rum and
wine distilleries still employ conventional methods, but at the same time
prioritize quality rather than quantity. Even though the tourist industry in
Grenada has become more significant over the years, the island's simple rituals
and the hospitability of its natives have long lost its original impression.
The island of Grenada is the largest of the three islands that make up the
nation. This relatively large island is estimated to be 133 square miles in land
area and offers an array of volcanic mountains, soaring to heights of over 2,750
feet. This scenic plethora of geographical wonders gives Grenada a distinct set
of Real Estate properties.
The quality Real Estate properties in this island is complemented by one of the
most breathtaking and most diverse sceneries in the Caribbean, not to mention
the island's crater lakes together with a surprising diversity of fauna and
flora. Dwarf forests situated high on this island's mountains grade into montane
rainforests that slowly descend to the dry forests at lower altitudes. These
forests then give way to mangrove ecosystems at the coast, giving way to
tranquil clear waters, powder-white sand beaches, and striking reefs found
nowhere else in the world. Grenada offers not only nature's beauty but also a
potential place for investments. The island houses an assembly of business
establishments, put up by both local and foreign investors, prepping up the
nation's economy.
The next island in the list is Carriacou, a not so mountainous but rather hilly
island second in size to Grenada Island. With a much more suave terrain of hills,
Carriacou is the perfect place for moderate hiking and walking. The real estate
in this part of the island holds a distinction of its own as with those of the
other islands, owing also to Carriacou's unique topographic properties. The
island features natural docks and fine-sand beaches, in addition to exceptional
landscapes that can be seen out over the Grenadine islands of the north.
Investments here are not as active as the other islands but it stands on its own,
able to welcome a thriving number of investors every year.
Petite Martinique, the third and the smallest island, can be roughly described
as a tip of a volcanic cone situated on top of a small mass of land. But it will
not be like this for long because the island is being developed for tourism and
investment centers. The blooming of this island is a marvel to watch out for. In
the future, Petite Martinique is envisioned to be a center for real estate and
other properties. Investments will ensue in this little island and will attract
more tourists to visit and see what the island, and the whole of Grenada has to
offer.
